Club Activities
As well as regular live music taking place at the club, which you can find out about on our Music page, we have a number of sports and social/hobby activities going on regularly which are described below, but we are always open to members suggesting new ideas to add to the existing agenda. So if you like the look of any of the activities listed, or have an idea for some new ones, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss these further.
Snooker
We have a match room with a full size snooker table and a great group of existing players who are always looking for new members to join their teams.
Plymouth Fishkeepers Society
The society meets on the first two Wednesdays of every month. They have talks on specialised fish breeding/keeping and auctions of fish and aquarium goods. The society is open to new members with experienced members happy to give advice and share their fish keeping/breeding knowledge. Find out more here.
The Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes
The RAOB (Our Boys Lodge No 149) hold their meetings every Tuesday at 19:45hrs. They are a Benevolent Society, helping their own and good causes running social and fundraising events. Pilates
We have Plymouths best Pilates teacher Lorna, from Pilates With Lorna, running regular classes across the week at the club. She is always happy to take on new class members, and there's usually coffee and a good chat in the Members bar after classes. You can find out more at her website here.
Pool
We have a pool room just off of the members bar, with a top quality table and free pool Sundays to encourage members to come and try an 8 ball clearance!
Darts
There is a BDA approved darts board and oche on the stage in the members bar for everybody to use. We also have a team in the local Friday night Plymouth City Super League, and they are always happy to take on new members or incorporate existing teams, you can find out more here. We have a ceiling mounted camera that picks up the dartboard action and plays the feed onto the big screen TV's in the Members bar area, so if you are spectating its almost like watching it on Sky Sports!
Bingo
We have bingo sessions on alternate Friday nights at 8.00PM throughout the year and a meat or bottle draw to accompany these evenings. Depending on numbers attending you can win big money for a Full House so it's well worth a visit, bring your dabbers!
Local Groups
We have several local clubs who hold their regular meetings and AGM's at the club and they can order food and drink (and privacy if needed) to help the conversation flow. We would be happy to have your club find a home with us. Contact us for more information.
Dance
The club runs several dance classes across several types of dance. Contact us for more information.
Exercise Classes
We hold two over 50's exercise classes on Monday, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Contact us for more information.
Cards
We currently have members who play Euchre every Wednesday evening and you are more than welcome to join or play any card or board games you enjoy. Contact us for more information.
